Special Education Services

Lakota Local Schools provides a continuum of services to students ages 3 through 21 identified as disabled under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act. Services are provided in accordance with Ohio’s Operating Standards for Ohio’s Schools Serving Children with Disabilities.

Lakota Local Schools strives to meet the needs of individual children within our school environment. We take an active role in identifying children with disabilities. If you know of a child, birth to 21 years of age, who may have a disability, please contact our office.

If you suspect that your child has special educational concerns, the following guide will help you work with our district to obtain the best educational opportunities possible for your child.
